Dixon, CA – This afternoon, the Dixon Fire Department was dispatched to a first alarm structure fire in the Dixon Fire Protection District, along the 5800 block of Thissell Road.  First arriving units noted a fully involved RV. Crews from the City of Vacaville, Vacaville Fire Protection District, UC Davis Fire Department and Winters Fire Department responded. 

Firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack and performed primary search operations. Unfortunately, during this search, a body was discovered. The fire was extinguished.

Detectives from the Solano County Sheriff’s Office and Solano County Fire Investigation Unit responded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of the person found inside of the RV. The identity of the deceased person, cause of death, and circumstances surrounding this incident are undetermined as this time. This investigation is ongoing and further details regarding this incident will be released when they become available.
