Timeline for Parkway Boulevard Overcrossing Funding

The City of Dixon recently secured a $25,221,639 grant from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) for the construction of the Parkway Boulevard Overcrossing. We would like to thank current and past city council members for their vision and support of the project.

“Over the past two decades, City Council has approved expenditures to acquire right-of-way and utility easements, design the project, and build the embankments. This planning and foresight allowed the project to be shovel-ready and allowed the city to secure federal funding,” said City Manager Jim Lindley, “Mayor Bird, Vice Mayor Bogue and councilmembers Ernest, Hendershot and Johnson have worked tirelessly with Solano Transportation Authority (STA) advocating to move this project forward.”

In the coming months, City staff will finalize the design and work with Solano Transportation Authority (STA) to obligate the funding.  We expect the funds to be obligated from the FRA to the City by July 1, 2025. If the funds are obligated on time, construction would begin in Fall 2025 and be complete Fall 2027.
